Personal Statement:
All applicants must write a personal statement and submit it with the application for admission. The personal statement should be a comprehensive narrative essay outlining significant aspects of your academic and personal history, particularly those that provide context for your academic achievements and educational choices. Quality of writing and depth of content both contribute toward a meaningful and relevant personal statement. Categories include academic history, degree and career goals, cultural understanding, educational challenges, personal hardships, etc. Please see extensive guidelines on writing the personal statement from the Graduate School here.
Recommendation Letter:
Three letters of recommendation:The UW Graduate School online application cannot accept letters via Interfolio or from your recommenders’ Interfolio email. Recommenders will be emailed a link at which they are asked to complete a questionnaire and upload their letter (maximum 500KB).
