Transcript:
Unofficial transcripts or academic records should be uploaded directly to the online application. Please do not mail in paper copies of your transcripts.
There is no need for official transcripts or academic records for initial review. If you are admitted, the University will then request official copies of this material.
Personal Statement:
In the Personal Statement you are asked to give a statement explaining your immediate and long-range career objectives in relation to your major field, being specific about your areas of interest. If there are particular faculty members with whom you wish to study, please list their names and explain why you would like to study with those individuals. Also, if known, indicate a proposed minor field or emphasis.
Recommendation Letter:
You also are required to have three letters of recommendation from instructors or professional associates who have had an opportunity to observe you in an academic or work environment and assess your potential for graduate work. The Plant Pathology Department will only accept on-line recommendations.
To request recommendation letters from your references, click on the “Recommendations” link on the left right hand side of the ApplyYourself webpage and provide the requested information for each of your references, i.e. name, address, e-mail address, etc. These individuals will be notified by e-mail of your request and be given the website for the on-line recommendation form. An e-mail acknowledgment will be sent to you and your references once they have submitted recommendations.
You can submit your application before letters of recommendation have been uploaded.
